Each of our engagement rings is accompanied by an Insurance Appraisal detailing the authenticity, quality, and diamond size within the ring. Moreover, all diamonds exceeding 1/2 carat are furnished with a GIA natural diamond lab report for added assurance and transparency. Regarding warranty, we stand behind our products with a minimum one-year manufacturer’s warranty against defects. While we can’t guarantee against life’s unexpected events, our JM Care Plan offers peace of mind. This plan is especially beneficial for those who are hard on their jewelry or prefer not to remove it regularly. We provide both a lifetime care plan and a 3-year option, available for purchase at the time of sale in-store. You can also choose to add the JM Care Plan within 30 days in-store only.

Absolutely! We encourage the incorporation of heirloom stones into your custom design. Our transparent pricing includes a setting and appraisal fee when using your heirloom stones. However, if we provide the stones, these fees are waived. We also offer the option to trade in your old jewelry, allowing you to offset the cost of your new custom piece.
No, there is no additional cost for custom jewelry consultations at JF Jones Jewelers. Our commitment to providing personalized service is reflected in our complimentary consultations, ensuring that your custom design experience is both enjoyable and cost-effective.
The timeline for receiving your custom-designed piece varies depending on the intricacy of the design. During your appointment, our designer can create a 3D computer rendering and calculate pricing. Typically, this process takes a week, and we can conveniently text or email the design for your review. After design approval, the final balance is due to complete the order. Rest assured, all our designs are proudly produced in the USA, and you can expect the completed piece to be ready for delivery in 4-6 weeks. Indeed. We start by using a microscope to examine the state of your jewelry in your presence. We can both easily see what needs to be repaired. We’ll compile a list of the required fixes and estimate their cost using our standard repair book. A price cannot be quoted unless the item is inspected in person. Do not contact us for estimates, please. We can provide you with an approximate amount if you text us a picture.
Cleaning Your Jewelry at Home: Always use professional cleaning products. Never try a DIY recipe or use household cleaners or chemicals. We offer a collection of cleaning products for you to maintain your jewelry at home between semi-annual inspections.

Yes we warranty our repair work for 1 year. We recommend you bring in your jewelry every 6 months for a complimentary inspection and cleaning. This allows us to identify minor problems and suggest regular maintenance repairs before they turn into large problems like loss of stones or complete loss of bracelets or necklaces.

Jewelry Cleaning:

At least every six months, we advise getting a professional inspection and cleaning. Certain occupations and ways of living are more demanding on jewelry and should be changed every four months. We will examine your jewelry during your inspection to look for typical wear and tear and to see if any preventative maintenance could help your jewelry last longer.

Jewelry is inspected under a digital microscope on a small monitor in front of you to check the condition of stones, prongs, clasps etc. Major issues are identified immediately and our skilled staff will suggest necessary repairs. After inspection your jewelry will soak in our ultra sonic cleaner, where sound waves move the heated solution into all the nooks and crannies for a thorough cleaning.

Lastly we will steam clean to remove pesky dirt and debris. (Not all stones can withstand the temperature of a steamer, our jewelers are trained to decipher if your jewelry can be steamed.)

Finally, after cleaning we will recheck all stones for tightness and security. Dirt, lotions and cosmetics can act like glue and hold stones securely in place. Upon removing the “glue” stones can become loose. We will inform you if this is the case and provide you with a free no obligations repair estimate.

There is no minimum when traded in towards a purchase or a repair. Selling for cash- we have a $25 minimum to process the paperwork.

Jewelry Appraisal:

Jewelry insurance provides comprehensive coverage, encompassing loss, theft, damage, necessary repairs, sudden disappearance, flood-related incidents, and even protection during worldwide travel. Additionally, policyholders may benefit from deductible options, which offer flexibility in tailoring coverage to their specific needs and preferences. Rhodium Plating:

Rhodium plating, commonly known as ‘dipping,’ is a process applied over yellow or white gold to achieve a white appearance. We exclusively use rhodium plating on fine gold jewelry. Rhodium, a rare and pure white metal from the platinum family, is highly reflective, exceptionally hard, and resistant to tarnishing. This makes it an ideal choice for plating jewelry, providing both protection and a bright white finish. Rhodium plating is particularly common for white gold, as pure gold has a yellow hue, and the alloy metals in white gold alone don’t achieve a fully white appearance.
The longevity of rhodium plating varies based on usage and exposure. Factors such as chemicals, perfumes, and personal body chemistry can affect the plating. Rings, due to more wear and tear, may require re-plating sooner than earrings or necklaces. Generally, rhodium plating can last between 1 and 5 years with proper care.
Our future rhodium plating services are not complimentary. However, upon the purchase of an engagement ring, we provide a coupon for a single complimentary rhodium service specifically for your engagement ring. This service is commonly utilized just before the wedding, ensuring both your engagement ring and new wedding band shine brightly together on the same rhodium schedule. Rhodium plating services are available, starting at $97. It’s an additional step to enhance the appearance and durability of your white gold jewelry.
Our standard service schedule runs one week. 24 hour service is available with appointment. The rhodium plating process involves cleaning, removal of any previous rhodium, buffing out scratches, polishing, and finally, rhodium plating. To provide a more accurate estimate, we recommend bringing in the item for evaluation.

Diamond Trade-Up:

When upgrading your JFJ loose diamond, solitaire ring, solitaire pendant or solitaire earrings, you’ll receive the full value that you paid, not including sales tax, as a credit towards the purchase of a new diamond. See the chart below for new purchase requirements.
